For this project I focused on a hard surface model. I modeled everything in full detail, then texture with high-resolution textures. I used Autodesk MAYA for the modeling, and 3D Substance Painter for the textures.

For this project, I took references from the game Slime Rancher for the model, then made the clay rendered version in Autodesk MAYA. The hardest part of that was the inner piece on the front of the gun. It gave me a bit of trouble to get to work. Also, connecting all the little pieces in a way that had all the lines flowing well was a challenge.

After that, I took the model into 3D Substance Painter and added all the textures and lighting for the final renders. A couple times I had to take it back into MAYA to fix some mesh issues, but after I fixed them the texturing was pretty easy.
