Figure and Motion- Study of Hands

This drawing is drawn from life, using my own hand as reference. It is 18x20 charcoal on drawing paper.

This was the first charcoal piece I had made in about 2 years, and I am very happy with how it came out. I sketched it out using charcoal, and then slowly erased and fixed the sketch as I started shading. I used both a moldable eraser and an eraser pencil to get the fine highlights and shading, and used both soft and hard charcoal sticks. I used my own hand as reference, so there is no reference photo. Overall, I think it is a very good fine arts piece, and there isn't anything I would change about it.
